POJK

Also known as: Peraturan OJK, OJK regulation

A regulation issued by Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK); POJK 14/2023 set the operating rules for the IDXCarbon carbon exchange.

POJK — Peraturan Otoritas Jasa Keuangan — is a regulation issued by Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK), the integrated regulator of banking, capital markets, and non-bank finance. POJKs sit below ministerial regulations in the legal hierarchy but, within OJK's jurisdiction, are the binding operational rules.

For the carbon market the most consequential POJK is POJK 14/2023, the regulation on the organisation of carbon-unit trading on Bursa Karbon. POJK 14/2023 defines who can be a trading participant (registered exchange members), what units may be traded (SPE-GRK and tradeable carbon units registered in SRN-PPI), what disclosures issuers must make, and how clearing and settlement work. Every IDXCarbon trade and listing reference this regulation as its legal basis.
